Personal Experiences
Here are some of my personal experiences that I would like to share with you. Just like what I said in the "Natural Disasters" page, everyone will be subjected to at least one natural disaster experience at least once in their lifetime. There really is no avoiding it, where ever you are and in what ever part of the world, natural disasters are Earth's phenomena. Learn from our experiences and you will be that much further along with being prepared. You can live without fear by being prepared!
I have personally experienced:
A super-typhoon while stationed in Guam and numerous typhoons with less damage.
Three Earthquakes with magnitudes of greater than 5.o.
California wild-fire seasons, of which one was literally within blocks of my residence.
A Catergory 3 Hurricane while stationed in Florida.
A tornado rated as an F3 (Fujita scale meaning winds greater than 150 mph but less than 200 mph).
Snowed-in for 5 days during an intense blizzard in Idaho.
No tsunamis yet, and hope not to have to run into one of those!
Just like before, Curt will chime in with his experiences also.
Cheers!
Jason
